Loki's Interview

Post by Briar Rose on Tue Jul 08, 2014 6:01 pm

Briar groaned when she found out the next convict would be Loki. The same last name as Clopin Loki. The one Clopin mentioned with defense and parental love Loki. The one Clopin would probably kill someone for. That Loki. What were the odds she'd get them both? Mok probably didn't want to deal with either of them and left them to her. Nonetheless, she was sure she could take either of them well. So she smiles when Loki enters.

The small teen's expression held no hint of any emotion as he stepped in, the look he gave her empty as he wordlessly took his seat. As he did, however, he gave her a friendly smile, not looking too botherd over where he was or that he was handcuffed.
"Hello," he greeted simply, relaxing back into his seat. "Nice glasses."

"Oh," Briar's hands move up to her face subconsciously. "Thank you. Hello." She clears her throat, having already decided not to sound like a robot like she had the past five years. "You're here because you committed a crime. We're offering you the chance to get your charges drooped and paid enough to live in paradise. How does that sound?" She offers with a mischievous grin.

The teen's gentle smile didn't falter, and merely blinked once at she said before glancing around the room. He didn't reply at first, and just stayed silence for a moment while casually tapping one finger on the table.
"These sure are some good quality handcuffs," he then said, lifting up his restrained wrists above his head to inspect them closer with mild curiosity. "Not often I'm unable get out of these things."
He smiled again, although this time it looked more mischievous, like the grin she had just given him. As he lowered his scrawny arms back down onto the table, a low chuckle could be heard from him. "Is it fun?" he asked then, tilting his head slightly. "Your job I mean. You look like you're both enjoying it and receive lots of headaches~"

"They're meant to keep others safe in case you're feeling...rebellious." Briar was surprised when he had done the same his father figure and mentioned the handcuffs right off the bat. It made her smirk. "I do like my job, it pays well. You're right, I both love it and receive headaches from it every now and then. I don't get headaches too often though, so no worries." She reassure Loki. "Will you accept the offer?" She presses.

He hummed, tilting his head backwards until his gaze was turned up towards the ceiling. He began with the tapping again, and now instead started to look bored. "That's quite a dumb question," he finally says, placing his feet against the edge of the table and twirled himself around in a high speed. Instead of looking delighted, he was pouting in a childish way.
"So basically all I need to do, is accept being a tool of entertainment, along with many other 'lucky' chosen ones?"
The twirling came to an abrupt stop, and Loki was facing her again with a wicked and wide grin. "Right~?"

Briar watches Loki carefully. But nonetheless he about summed it up. "Right." She thought about mentioning his father, but didn't know if that would be a sensitive topic or not. "You'll be allowed a phone call when you arrive and another in twenty seven days. Form there you'll be allowed one every thirty days. This contest will last for 365 days. Got it?" She arches a brow at him. He's a calmer version...

Re: Loki's Interview

He let out a snort this time, and went back to twirling the chair around. "Well this should be more fun than rot in a narrow cell for the rest of my young life," he said brightly, stopping again only to jump upp on his feet instead, not appearing to be dizzy even after all that fast spinning. One could say he's had alot of expreince through stuff like that, along with a wacky teacher. Speaking of him...
He twireld around on his heel this time as he once more faced her, giving her a look as if she just said somethign silly. "Who, pray tell, would I ever feel the need to call?" he pointed out, smirking as he thought of something to himself. "Well, unless I'd feel like prank calling someone, but that sorta grew old years ago," he snickerd, aimlessly strolling around the room. "The only other person I care about is surely stuck in this little game as well~"
If he knew the mad man right, (which he did) it was obvious Clopin would've happily accepted this little offer too. Living was fun after all, and they both had plenty off stuff they still felt like doing.

"I'm not sure why so many of you say it as if it were obvious you wouldn't have someone to call." Briar says to him. "How do you know he would've accepted if he were offered it?" Briar inquires, folding her hands and leaning towards the kid. She wanted to know exactly how his mind functioned being raised by someone like Clopin.

Loki chuckled, imitating her by leaning towards her as well. "Because the maniac raised me," he said in a suddenly very serious and dark tone, staring at her in silence for a few seconds before a wide grin spread over his face.
"I may not reach his level of random and crazy just yet, but it's pretty damn obvious he accepted the offer," he sang, throwing himself back into the chair and twirled around once more. "You don't need to be a 'sane' person to choose life over death~"

Briar frowns, "No." He was odd. Almost split personality odd. That would definitely be good ratings. She perked up at the thought. When he smiled at her Briar could feel chills run down her back. What the hell?
"He almost didn't." Briar says, leaning back and pushing her glasses up onto her head. "He was rather disappointed by the thought of the mentioning of no alcohol and no parties." Though parties were likely, and if they received enough ratings, alcohol was a possibility if they watched the underage drinkers. The Vian drinking age was 17 though. "He likes the idea of teams and...I dunno, harassing others? He seemed really pleased with the entire thing as a matter of fact." Briar explains to him, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms. "But you're right." She nods, momentarily closing her eyes. "Any sane person would choose life over death if they wanted to live. But sanity doesn't have anything to do with that you know." She flashes him a smile.

Re: Loki's Interview

The chair stopped spinning again, and this time Loki gave her a what looked like a pleased smile with a hint of amusement. Oh well, he was pretty amused by the whole situation when he thought about it. "I knew that stereotype about blondes was bullshit, you don't sound stupid at all," he said brightly, placing his feet on the table. "Maybe a little uptight, but HEY nobody's perfect!"
He snickered to himself at the thought of Clopin's disappointment, and frankly he could understand him. No booze or parties? Pfft, all the contestants would need that if these hosts wanted their show to last. Even if some were underage.... wait, he was underage. Well, not like that ever stopped him before.
"Just 'harassing' others?" he repeats after her, quirking an eyebrow. "That's sounds way too nice for the maniac," he stated, rolling his eyes. "But teams eh? Sounds fun, chance to meet new people and 'socialize' too~" he said ina more exciting tone, something devious glinting in his green eyes.

Briar smiles. Just because I follow the rules I'm uptight. "I get that a lot." Se watches Loki snicker at his inside joke, or possibly at her. "I suppose you're right. But believe it or not he was actually well behaved for the most part." She says to him, running a hand through her hair. She was expecting to be mentally or emotionally scarred from the way Mok described him. But he actually didn't seem too bad...well, now that Loki is saying that was a mild version of Clopin she began to wonder exactly how crazy Clopin could get. "Why do you call him the maniac? As if he's a fictional being?" Briar inquires curiously. It was odd to her that Loki didn't at least call him by his first name.

Re: Loki's Interview

"Since he was handcuffed for the most part, duh," Loki stated with a bored expression this time, giving his handcuffs a scowl as if expecting them to dissapear if he glared hard enough.
His head shot up again and gave her a blank stare for a moment, not saying anythign or showing any hint of emotion. Again, he titled his head slightly to the side, just watching her before opening his mouth again. "Beacuse that's what he is," he replied, slowing going back to smirking micheviously. "He's also crazy, a sadist, torublemaker, deceiver, theif, murderer, entertainer, ventriloquist, wacky, random, freak, artist, mad, dangerous-"
And the list of all the things Clopin is and has been called went on, Loki's smirk somehow turning even more devious the more he added.
"But CloClo is a nice nickname for him," he suddenly stopped, slamming his handcuffs loudly down on the table brutally, and smiling all innocently at the woman across the table. "Fits him right? Sounds both a little wacky and sweet in an odd way~"

Re: Loki's Interview

Briar could feel the chills running up her arms, her back and to her neck. She didn't know which one scared her more. The smile, or when he coked his head at her with that blank expression. She felt the urge to claw at her arms, but she resisted as well as she could, her body twitching very slightly.
Briar jumps when Loki slams his handcuffs onto the table. Briar leaned away from Loki when he gave her that smile again. She felt as if he was looking right through her. Like she were about to be possessed by a demon. This kid was serious trouble.
Briar takes a deep, shaky breath. "Sure." She says, her voice cracking. She felt more scared around Loki than she had Clopin. She thought Loki would be more pleasant but it was the opposite. He scared her. She'd rather have Clopin in here yelling about fun and pleasantries.

Loki's smile didn't falter, but widened a little when Briar inhaled deeply, and slumped back into his seat. "Ooops, didn't mean to make you uncomfortable just yet," he snickered, dragging the handcuffs along the table harshly before lazily letting them fall back to his lap.
His expression was going back to looking bored again though. "Seriously though," he sighed. "These handcuffs are unnecessary," he pouted, holding up his wrists for her to see. "I completely lack physical strength, am underweight, and would most likely break something if I tried to punch someone. It's ridiculous how damn easy I bruise."
He didn't sound ashamed or sad about these facts though, he didn't sound like he cared at all, which he for a fact didn't. He had other qualities after all.

He was not fooling Briar. Even if that were true, she still wasn't going to. She willingly uncuffed Clopin and that was at risk of being attacked during his performance. With Loki well...she didn't know. For all she knew, he was crazier than Clopin. Possibly with split personalities too. She didn't like being laughed at by this kid. But technically, they had finished, so she was to take them off. Briar picks up her keys, "C'mere." She says to Loki. Her hand shaking with the universal key in between her fingers.

His whole facade brightend up at this, and happily skipped around the table, humming to himself with a smile that gentle and not crazy by a long shot. Once he reached her, he paitnetlly held up his bound wrist and waited for her to release him. He didn't miss how her hand was shaking when holding up the key, and allowed the malice to show in his green eyes while staring down at her.

Briar stood slowly, hardening her eyes as she stood above him. She wasn't much taller than him, but being able to have some control over him made her feel a little better. She took a silent breath as she stopped her hand from shaking and put the key in his cuffs and turned it; unlocking them. Her eyes returned to Loki's, annoyance filling them.

Loki merely chuckled as she stood up, not surprised at ehr taller height. Loki was short for his age and smaller than most people he ran into afterall, no biggie.
He rubbed his wrists gently as he was finally released, the gentle smile still intact even as he took notice of the annoyance in Briar's gaze.
Suddenly he reahced out grabbed hold of her hand firmly, but yet gently and gave her knuckles a soft kiss.
"I hope you'll enjoy your little show now," he said smugly, placing both his hands inside his pockets. "I'm sure I will~"

Briar started to pull her hand back when Loki grabbed it. But when he kissed it she relaxed. Briar nods in agreement. "I will." She says with control. She picks up her walkie talkie, calling the guards back in for him. "Goodbye Loki." She says simply as the escort him.
