Artemis's Interview

Briar was tired, she was tired of repeating herself and dealing with these people. Some were pleasant some were not, at this point, she wasn't going to filter anything she said anymore. These kids (or adults) were just going to have to deal with it. Cal it what you want, she didn't care anymore. Nor did she smile when the blonde entered. Briar remained leaned back in her chair with her arms crossed. She didn't even bother pulling her glasses down to see her clearer.

Artemis entered the room looking down at the floor. She was fighting an overwhelming urge to struggle and fight with the officers as she did not want to add, "resisting arrest" to her "List of Things That Are Bad for the Government," but then again their parents would not be pleased . . . . .  with the getting caught part that is. Artemis sat in a chair and took a minute to look around the room. After not seeing her sister in there, she thought to raise a question about this, but decided against it at least for right now. Then she saw the other blonde. "You look like my Mom did once when she got in an accident and . . . ." she stopped in the middle of her story and put her feet up on the table unsure whether she could talk about that stuff or not and cleared her throat. "You have no reason to look like that if you are not in danger of losing your job or life." Artemis checked her hair to make sure she still had Ice Blue Streaks in her hair. They were there but starting to fade, and then put her hands behind her head and looked up at the ceiling. "All you really need to do is breathe, perform some Yoga, and calm down."

"Yoga is such a stereotypical form of relaxation. And I don't have the patience for it." Briar says bluntly. Much like any more of these interviews. "You've been selected to participate in a broadcasted form of community and service where you and other convicts will compete in two teams to win the dropping of your charges and 900, 000 dollars."

"Not patient enough? How did you even get this job?" Artemis sighed staring at Briar for then took her feet of the table. Artemis leaned over to look at Briar's glasses. "Unless you did not work for it or earn it . . . ." Artemis sat back and listened to Briar as she read from a piece of paper. She took her hands from behind her head, placed them on the table softly and leaned way in. She stared at her in annoyance, slightly twitching an eyebrow. If I refuse it will probably be death won't it? It always is. "Let me guess, if we refuse the penalty is Death isn't it? I mean, 900,000 dollars is a good amount for . . . . Artemis paused for a minute mulling it over. Our parents would be mad, but for our petty things this a bit extreme.[/color] but our parents should be notified." Artemis turned her chair so that the back of it was in the front and sat in it so that her hands dangled on the back of them. As thought about the implications of all this.
