Clopin's Interview

Briar waited patiently for the next convict to be escorted into the room. So far she wasn't too impressed with Mok's choice of prisoners. She had yet to be freaked out or entertained. But then again, she was praying she didn't jinx herself with wishes like that. She sighs before pushing her glasses back onto her head.

Clopin walked into the room, gazing around with a bored expression. Such lovely colors for a room. Although brighter colors would do so much better. He turned his attention onto Briar, a grin appearing quickly upon his face. "Finally!" he exclaimed before strolling over to Briar and holding out his cuffed hands. "You seem to be smart! Uncuff me, for it's the right thing to do! An easiest, must I add!" Clopin beamed, winking down at the female, waiting for his wish to be granted. He wasn't sure to why he was dragged here instead of spending his sentence in jail. Perhaps the government ha played a trick on him and he was merely being set free from fake charges. "So the government does know how to have some fun!" he muttered to himself in an excited tone.

"Um..." Briar blinks in shock at Clopin. She was not expecting to be greeted so abruptly and with so much enthusiasm. "No." She says firmly, trying to hide her shock as best she can. She did in fact have her own key, because they were to be uncuffed after the interview was finished. But she wouldn't tell him that. "And sure, if this is your definition of fun."

Clopin pouted, huffing a bit in disappointment. "Well deary, you just sucked all of joy out." he complained, pulling back his arms. In the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a chair which was the kind that could spin. Oh how delightful, Clopin thought as his mind wandered over to the chair. "I haven't sat in one of these in a while!" he exclaimed in a giddy tone that would remind people of kids. He quickly sat down in the opposite way in the chair, spinning it around once before getting it to have him face the woman. "My definition of fun, deary...is freedom. Which I had expected to receive the instant I got here. But I guess not, kill joy." Clopin gave the woman a eager, slightly dark grin. Although he actually hadn't listened to that male who had come to speak of him. He had ignored most of what he said, only starting to pay attention when freedom was mentioned. So this was partly his fault. But it was funner to put the blame on the woman in front of him. "So what am I here for? Except speaking to an uptight female?" Clopin asked out in a curious tone as he settled his chin on the back of the chair.

"Well then I suppose you'll have lots of fun here." Briar says to him, giving him a look of confusion when he drops into the chair and starts spinning. She resisted the urge to laugh. A smirk flashes across her lips. "I'm no killjoy!" Briar informs, slightly offended. Though she wasn't sure why she was taking what he'd said to heart. He was criminal, and a crazy one at that. She could see why Mok picked him.
Briar clears her throat when Clopin waited for her to speak, "You were brought here because you among many performed an action outside of the Vian government. Your participation and cooperation of this form of community and service is vital for your survival. Any form of major or intense resistance will result in the elimination of your participation which will cost your life. Should you choose to accept this request?"

"Oh?! Will there be games? Parties! Booze!?" Clopin exclaimed , clapping his hands together in excitement. Wouldn't that just be something! The government actually doing something for him! They were such wonderful hosts after all! "Spreading fun around is my specialty!" he added with an amused grin, his eyes glimmered at the sight of the woman's smirk. "Oh! Defensive now, are you? My apologies!" he apologized in a fake sincere tone, not caring if he had offended her or not. At least he got that blank expression of hers gone. Why must people keep their emotions hidden from others? It was terribly funner to just put everything out there. Hiding was boring. Unless there were secrets to be kept.

"So to live? Or to die? That is your question?" Clopin titled his head at the woman, before tapping his fingers upon the table. "Well golly, that's a hard choice." Which was complete utter bull shit. Toying with other or getting on their nerves was his specialty also. Though he stayed silent for a moment before bursting out laughing. "Living is always the choice! I got a long life to live still!" he exclaimed, tapping his foot against the floor.

Briar narrows her eyes at Clopin, "No booze. Hard to say about the parties." Briar rolls her eyes at the mention of spreading fun, "Oh goody...don't lie and say you're sorry, because we both know you're not." When Clopin finally stopped beating around the bush she sighs with relief.
"Your community and service will be the participation in a broadcasted contest that will last for approximately three hundred and sixty days, You are allowed one phone call each thirty day interval. You will be allowed one phone call when you arrive, and another phone call in twenty seven days. This will not happen again. You will be broadcasted from the time you awake to the end of the day. On average that will be 9 pm. Assurance that this is the only time you will be broadcasted is not insured. For motivation there will be a nine hundred dollar reward, and the dropping of your charges."

Clopin rolled his eyes to hear that there'd be no booze or parties. But she hadn't shot down games yet. Now that was interesting! "So there will still be games right?" he asked, wanting to get a clearer confirmation. He chuckled darkly, nodding his head eagerly at Briar's comment. "You're right! I'm not! Not at all!" he exclaimed in agreement. At least the woman wasn't freaking dense.

He fiddled with his fingers, half listening to the woman's explanation of what his service to the government was going to be. "As I recall, I care only for myself and Loki. So a phone call is no incentive for me, deary." Clopin shrugged his shoulders, wondering about how Loki was faring up. His ears perked up at the sound of being broadcasted. "I'll be on tv or something along the lines of that? I'm all for that! That reward money and my charges being dropped is a nice touch as well!" he remarked, his excitement was more directed to the broadcast mention. He'd feel right at him since he was used to eyes being on him.

Yeah. A total nutcase. Briar felt bad about having him on the show. All of the paperwork that would ensue. She'd definitely be in the confessional about this one. "Yes there will be games. Challenges, they'll vary however." Briar's eyes widen at the mention of only caring about Loki, "Oh? That's good to know. so you won't be disrupting others with obnoxious phone calls...Well it's good to know that you'll participate." Briar says with a roll of her eyes.
This man was definitely crazy. But he was very entertaining, she'd probably be laughing her head off if she wasn't reminded of the paperwork she'd have to deal with. She knew he'd have antics. Briar pulls her walkie talkie from her belt.
"Briar to Mok. Is Clopin uh..." Her eyes flicker to him before she lowers her voice. "Sane?"

"No, darling, he isn't." Mok answers truthfully. "He talks to his own puppet, he's so far off the deep end." Mok paused for a moment and then asked, "Does Thelonious need to pay him a visit, Rose? You didn't take off his cuffs, did you?"

"Well I'm definitely in then!" Clopin remarked with an amused grin, nodding his head. Now he was delighted. Time to have a little fun in this place. He didn't want to be stuck in some cold atmospheric place. Just like jail had been. Although he has his mini self to speak to, so it wasn't all bad. "I might not disrupt the others with phone calls. But nothing's going to stop me with finding other ways to do so." he chuckled, having a talent to annoy people quite alot.

He tilted his head as he watched the woman closely, a smirk appeared upon his lips quickly at hearing the word 'sane'. "Must you ask someone else to see that I'm sane? Why not me? I know better than anyone else!" He beamed, jabbing his finger at himself. Clopin didn't give a shit if he was sane or not. He was himself. He didn't need others to tell him what he already knew. Clopin would've told her bluntly that he wasn't sane. Loki told him it all the time. Crazy little rascal just trying to get on his good side. Clopin chuckled at the the memory.

Briar stares at Clopin a moment as he mentions himself knowing better than anyone else. She presses the button, "Thanks for leaving me him. And no, I'm smarter than that." She says to Mok. She places her walkie talkie on the table. "I'm sure all on the border sane people say the exact same thing. Let's just hope you're sane enough to function, huh?" Briar teases without a hint of humor. Briar arches a brow, "What's funny? I;m sur everything's funny to you though."

Clopin quirked an eyebrow, his eyes watching as she placed the walkie talkie on the table. he scoffed a it, rolling his eyes at her comment. Like this woman knew anything about him and other's who weren't sane. Although she was right about him being a border sane. There were times when he reverted to an insane fool, while he could show that he was sane in a second. All of that depended on the situation and his mood though. "I'm functioning all right," Clopin sneered, giving her a teeth grin.

He shrugged his shoulders at her question to his earlier chuckle. "Sure Pretty much is..." He stayed silent for a moment, his eyes turning cold as he stared at the woman. "Except for the fact that the government had always been pestering my troupe. thinking they had a right to it and the profits." Clopin stated in a calm, sudden cold tone. he didn't take kindly to others harming or messing with what belonged to him. Clopin was pissed about his troupe and being separated from Loki. They were his. Clopin didn't care much that he referred to Loki as a possession. He found the kid and raised him up into what he was today. So yes, Clopin will take possession of his almost son.[/b]

Briar examines him a moment, "I'm sorry to hear that." She apologizes, "Bu what the government does or doesn't is not my concern. I'm here to do a job, so it would be nice if you could do your part to make it a little bit easier." Briar smiles at him, "And then we won't have to grow to hate each other." She suggests with some hope.

Clopin looked strangely at Briar for a moment, before he couldn't hold back his delight anymore. Too priceless! Clopin started to laugh uncontrollably, the laughter causing his shoulders to shake a bit. "Sorry?! Now don't lie to yourself deary!" he struggled to say though his laughter, which soon started to cease slowly. He wiped at the corner of his eyes to get rid of the tears. Tears of a fool. Which was never good. "Congrats! I haven't laughed that hard in quite some time!" he remarked in a gleeful tone, spinning in his chair before jumping up out of it, his movement seemed wacky but it was graceful at the same time. "I'll play along with this game of the government. But I won't be such an obedient player," Clopin smirked darkly, tilting his head at the woman. "Don't think we'll hate each other. Just admit that I amuse you," he snickered, feeling better than ever.

Briar looked at Clopin with interest. He's such an odd character. He'll definitely bring in all of the ratings this season. She could even see him being a fan favorite. Hell, why wouldn't he be a fan favorite? He's her favorite so far. "I'm glad that I amused you enough to make you cry." She says to him and blinks with surprise when he mentions her amusement. "Yes you do in fact amuse me very much." Briar nods in agreement.

Clopin grinned in delight as Briar admitted that he had really amuse her indeed. Most definitely. "Such an achievement as well too!" he commented, nodding his head before getting in front of the table, facing Briar. Clop held out his cuffed hands to her, giving her an innocent expression. "So!!! Anyways, gonna uncuff me now? You amused me while I did the same to you!! Besides I'm willing here, right?" Clopin proclaimed, tilting his head at Briar. He wanted to move his hands freely badly. Most of the time when he spoke, usually his hands were everywhere gesturing. Although it was harder to do so with cuffs on. And technically he was suppose to be free.

Briar eyed him carefully. Mok had warned her about the cuffs. She could take him though. He wasn't especially muscular, though he'd proven to be light on his feet. Briar sighs, momentarily closing her eyes before retrieving her keys from her belt and unlocks his cuffs. Universal keys were probably not a good idea.

Clopin whistled in delight as he rubbed at his wrists, grinning. "Ah, much better indeed!" he claimed in a bright tone. Suddenly he gave Briar an over the top, showy bow, the one he usually gave his audiences once the show was over. "Why thank you deary! So where is my presence needed?" he questioned, before standing back upright, resting his hands on his hips. What he really meant was he allowed to get the fuck out of the room and free to roam as he pleased? That seemed a lovely idea.

"In the house of your respective team." Briar answers quickly, relieves he wanted to get out of the room. She raises her walkie talkie and calls in his guard to come get him. "It was very nice speaking with you Clopin." Briar tells him with another smile. It was partially true. She did like some aspects of the interview while others were...frightening.

"Oh! A team! I can't wait to meet my team members!" Clopin exclaimed, a bit surprised at first to know that the game had teams, but it was quickly replaced by a delighted expression. He glanced over at his wary guard, waving at him eagerly. "Guess I'm leaving here with my buddy here again!~" he chuckled, his eyes gleamed in amusement as the guard slightly flinched at his eagerness. He really liked that he had this effect on people. It pleased him really.

He turned his attention back on Briar, nodding quickly with a grin. "Me as well. But don't worry deary, we'll probably see each other soon!" Clopin remarked, winking at the woman before skipping after his guard out of the room in an upbeat manner. Wasn't true freedom. But way better than being in a cell and cuffed.
